Albinism Umbrella partners with different organizations to provide a holistic approach to empower persons living with albinism (PWA) for sustainable development.
We work through other grassroots organizations that easily access the PWA who reside in different parts of the country. The Umbrella seeks opportunities to strengthen the capacity of these CBOs like vocational skills training, scholarships and other material items. This helps us to enhance the relaxed talents and abilities within the albinism community and ensure the sustainability of our members in different areas of interest.
Among the notable partners, Umbrella has spearheaded a working relationship with Government of Uganda through its arm of Parliament in advocating for the rights of PWA. This was flagged off on 5th February 2017 with the Honorable Speaker of Parliament heading MPs of the August house to fundraise for an Albinism Centre.
